Smt. Kamlesh Nischol D/o Prime Minister of Alwar State, Rajasthan, Grand D/o The
Ruler of Lyallpur State, Born on 1ST February 1930 in the princely State of Alwar,
Rajasthan. She Studied in Australia, (Sydney & Melbourne) specializing in Child
Psychology. She was one of the first Psychologists to the Government of India. She
was known by all National and World leaders, herself a renowned social worker. |

- Was director of Indian Social Institute (Lodhi Estate) 1970.
- Was Director of Gujarat Research Society, 1970 & Early 1980.
- Pioneer in Child Counselling in India. (Counsellor in several public school like
Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Lodhi Estate & Air Force Bal Bharati School, Lodhi Estate.)
- Her regular columns in magazines like Eve Weekly & SUN of Counselling used to
appear.
- Regular Programmes of her Counselling in All India Radio & Delhi Doordarshan were
heard and seen.
- Founder of one of India's largest NGO Help Care Society in 1990.
- Wrote several journals, articles and features for National and International Agencies
like UNESCO.
- Worked with Late Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi, in the International Women
Year.
On her tour of Pondicherry, the Mother of Shri Aurobindo Ashram gave to her a one
line guidance Help the Poor which became her motto till the very end. Her legacy
is continued through her child Mr. Kapil Nischol.
- On her death, the President of India, Prime Minister and Chief Minister of various
states expressed sorrow at passing away of the renowned social worker.
- After her death, her book “Life & Times of Kamlesh Nischol Part –
I” was released at Sapru House, New Delhi in December 1998 by former Prime
Minister Shri H.D. Deve Gowda.
- Smt. Kamlesh Nischol Memorial School was inaugurated by former Prime Minister Shri
H.D. Deve Gowda at Chhattarpur, New Delhi in 1999.
